Park run, Wood house,  Fan Dance, PCoy and even endurance MDS London marathon etc etc etc are out there for the taking by everyone of you. No matter if you have one leg, suffer from depression, have little time to train, have high blood pressure or even no fitness currently at all. You don’t have to train so hard that you leave a lung on the hills to achieve great things. You just need to give yourself enough time to build a foundation for your body to then increase the capacity to manage that specific events pre training.

I tend to post and train everything all the time because I want to be ok at 5k, marathon, Ironman swimming, triathlon etc I am fully aware anything over 22 miles is my weakness because I rarely bound into that specific training nowadays.

I will now that I have CDO 30 and Weighted Marathon and everything that I have done this year in my training and the commitment I have made to going out for that extra run, p10, FD and even CDO is building me for my marathon. Because that’s my priority but the point I am making is it can feel intimidating the journey of training you need to go on to just do a FD for example and it takes patience and time. But, embrace it as it’s so rewarding and does not need to be hard, the outcome is not a first place but a better looking body – sometimes!!!, meeting new people, huge increases in self confidence and in what you can achieve, confidence in setting yourself off on a run over the hills or with weight over the mountains all on your own, healthier blood, a better capacity to fight illnesses that will eventually catch up with us all, a better understanding and want to learn about new ways to be healthier including eating better for you and your family, possibly a better understanding of first aide practices, more patience and resilience and better placed to help yourself and others and more equilibrium for hormones and systems so we feel more balanced.

My point is, don’t be scared to train. It doesn’t have to be horrible all the time or at all for you to achieve and complete anything. Is a natural thing once training though to gain in fitness and confidence enough where meeting cut offs is a thing of the past and getting a good time is then your focus. But that’s not the be all and end all.

I feel some of you train for the sake of training but are disappointed at little gains compared. Some of you only have time for 4 hours a week, some more but make sure they count. This group offers a wealth of knowledge and that’s why it was created by myself to pull those people in with knowledge of fast 5km, good half marathon, quality ultra marathons and then SF style Bergen work let alone what inner soles to wear and the best water to drink and the answer is normally a mixture of all of that.

Use this group or PM me if you think your training is not giving you the results you want. That’s what I am here for. If I don’t know the answer I will study it so that I do know and so I can give you a comprehensive answer.

Enjoy this weekend. I am looking forward in seeing you all. Don’t be disappointed, take from it what you need to better yourself and enjoy the sun and mountains- and DS Bigg. He likes gobbing of at EOFpeople because he admits they certainly set themselves apart and have great attitudes. Horrah.
