5K Running Training Plan – Basic


Whether you are looking to complete your first 5k or want to achieve a PB, you’ve come to the right place.

All our plans are designedby one of our coaches (who has won a number of 5km runs around the world!).

He is well versed in what works and what does not work.

This plan is designed for someone that has no experience recently or previously in running and would like to complete their first park run. This plan will not only help you with your first park run but set you on a course to be able to build enough capacity to start to become a good runner.

You will be expected to be able to walk briskly for a duration of 6 minutes and be comfortable in engaging in some body weight exercises which are not essential but would benefit a person in their progression.
