Intent: This day is intended to help people prepare for the Fan Dance event in July and also the Sabre 23 event in May, working the legs and core for strength and pacing for this distance.
Expectations: Working at a comfortable rate for a duration of approx 3.5-4 hours. Weighted or non weighted or anywhere between to enable you to have a comfortable day based on your current experience and fitness level. Ask Nick if you are unsure.
Fitness Level: Can be used for basic to advanced. Weight suggested is just what fits into your current training program and yet anyone wanting to push themselves harder could take a weight of up to 45lbs. Please speak with Nick for guidance. The pace wont be constant so anyone that wants to go slower can do, we do however expect there to be elements of running and this is not a complete walking day.
Joining instructions: These are the joining instructions although a WhatsApp group will be set up, if you are not a member then please contact Nick on 07855468103 via WhatsApp so he can add you. You will need the following equipment below as a essential guide but any issues then just ask Nick as there are always work arounds:
Essential- Note* If you are basic level then someone can carry part or all of this kit, if you dont have this kit, then dont worry, speak with the staff the week before.

Waterproof jacket that can be worn in emergency. Can use the above waterproof jacket if it goes over your warm kit
Windbreaker jacket preferably with a hood that acts as an on the move lightweight jacket but not too warm (or the water proof above jacket)
Windproof and waterproof gloves and hat ( the Gortex hats with side ear warmers are good) plus a lightweight warm beanie hat for when running or moving over windy ridges
Lifesaver kit – very warm jacket (lifesaver) hat and gloves (Mitts area good) already in pockets
Spare long sleeve warm top synthetic if possible
Food to be eaten over the day- Food bars, snacks etc and 2 litres of water
