Note* Start time is 10am. Duration Approx. 3-4 hours.
Intent: This day is intended to shake out the legs , and start the progression of distance and elevation needed for Commando shuffle distance. This can be used as part of your training programming also, or to be used to familiarise yourself with moving over the ground at a good quality (slow to moderate) pace. The day is intended to cover good ground for up coming events.
Expectations: You should be able and comfortable to be able to run for a period of 40 mins to participate in this day, or be able to run walk at least for 3 hours, this day is for people wanting to better understand how to do cover hills with hills/light elevation. The day will include running but light.
Fitness Level: Can be used for basic to advanced. Anyone wanting to push themselves harder could take a weight of up to 50lbs. But for most 10-35lbs is very suitable. Speak with Nick.
Joining instructions/Equipment: These are the joining instructions although a WhatsApp group will be set up a day or so before, if you are not a member then please contact Nick on 07855468103 via WhatsApp so he can add you. You will need the following equipment:
A small day sack with water proof jacket, hat and gloves for running in, warm top (lifesaver) hat and gloves spare, food on the go such as bars, water and small medical kit that has bandage Ibrofen and Paracetamol. Head torch, map and compass of the area if possible not essential, phone. Equipment worn can be fell / trail trainers or boots and trousers. Sun cream
