Intent: This day is the part of the progression for preparing people for the Fan Dance and other endurance mountain races both weighted and non weighted. This day will be moderately paced to allow people with little weight to have a comfortable day and people with more weight to work harder.
Expectations: Too many people dont sign up for these days because they think its going to be some sort of SAS hill session. Its progressive, dont sit back and do your own thing, it’s hard to train on your own, these are great relaxed days so come and get on board.
Fitness Level: If you have no experience in carrying weight then these days are for you too, they are weighted for some but for others at the beginning of their fitness progression they are non weight walk jog days over the hills at a very manageable level.
Joining instructions: These will be send out a few days before, you won’t need any specialist equipment other than a day sack, water proofs, warm kit, hat and gloves, a pair of walking trousers, boots and some food bars to eat.
